Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
The other day I asked mom if she knew how to cook a turkey with legs. She said yes, why? I said that I wanted to stay home and not take road trip and make a turkey dinner. Well the day didn't go as I had planned. I was suppose to wake up early and help my mom get the turkey ready and start making the pies and other stuff. Well I slept till noon, only because I stayed up late lastnight watching TV while mom made coleslaw. By the time I got up I had enough time to season the 12 pound bird before mom put it in the cooker. I did help with the marshmellows, I ate all the ones that wouldn't fit on the yams :)
We also burned some leaves in the yard, which was kind of cool until I got smoke in my eyes and it started to burn.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgving and enjoyed time with their family and friends.

Civil War Weekend at the Liendo Plantation
Today mom closed the store and we headed to Hempsted to visit the Liendo Plantation for a Civil War Reenactment.
I had so much fun today that I am planning on joining the 11th Texas Cavalry. After watching the last half of the battle, mom and I shopped. We got ol fashion rootbeer, a wooden riffle, lunch and some things for my camping box. Got to see a felt hat being made, helped a man build a fire the old fashion way, talked to people and found out what they did during the civil war. These people just played parts, they are not original people from the civil war.
I filled out an application and sent it off, so I will keep you posted about what I will be doing in the future with the group. I am also on the hunt for equipment and clothes. I have my own horse, so that is good.

Mexico Cruise 2009
Mom & I took a cruise out of Galveston, Tx to Mexico. We were gone for five fun filled days. There are not too many pictures because mom forgot to bring the charger for the camera. But I can tell you that we had a total blast. We left on Monday, Nov. th and came back on Saturday, Nov. 14th.
On monday night I got a bit sea sick, so mom made me take a pill to help me not throw up. It didn't work, I puked twice. Once was all over the desk and floor in our cabin. The other I was able to make it to the bathroom, but that was all over the wall and floor. Not a good thing.
The next day we were at sea. I got to swim in the pool, relax in the hot tub and go down the waterslides all day long. We also played bingo.
Our first port was Progreso, Yocatan. We got to go on a tour of the Dzibilchaltun Ruins, Temple of the Dolls and the Franciscan Church which the spanish built. We also got to swim in a huge sink hole called the Cenote Xlakah. That was real cool. When I'm older I can come back and scuba dive in the caverns that spread out from the Cenote.
The next day we went to Cozumel. Mom & I were suppose to swim with the sting rays, but the water was too choppy so we went to a real nice beach. We got to have real mexican food for lunch which was good. I got to swim and mom took me out the a reef so that I could snorkle. I ment a boy from New York and we played and swam a little bit. I don't think he knew how to swim.
We ate in the formal dining room and everynight I got to get up and dance with the staff. That was so much fun. Every morning I would have eggs and baccon and sausage and apple juice. I would rather have pineapple juice, but they didn't have any so I just ate pineapples.
Mom dropped me off at the Carnival Kids Club so she could go and do some stuff, but we mostly hung out by the pool.
When we were in the ports we did alot of shopping too.
here are some pictures.
