Christmas 2009

This year my mom & I went to Chicago for Christmas and New Years.

Santa came thru again & delivered almost all the stuff I wanted. Grandma & Grandpa & Jamie got me a whole mess of stuff too, including a GPS. My mom needs one of those too.
I got Pleo the dinosaur from Grandma & Grandpa, but Grandma wanted to keep it, so did a lot of the people at the airport. I got a nerf gun, swimming goggles, clothes, a dinosaur thing to put together, a remote controll car, books, videos, music cds, an ipod for my music, a wii system with a bunch of games, a really big remote controll monster truck and more stuff I don't remember.

Grandpa and mom took me sleding which was a bunch of fun, because last year grandpa got me my very own blue sled. I got to use it this year, it was really fun. Grandpa keeps it in the garage for me becuase we don't have any place to use it at home. My mom even went down the hill and so did Grandpa.
I love the snow. I want to go the mountains to visit my cousins Heather and Jenny. They live in Colorado. They both ski and board and said they will teach me. My mom says maybe next year.

Festival of Lights at Moody Gardens

Went to Galveston tonight for the Festival of Lights at Moody Gardens. We went through the Aquarium, which was very cool. I got to stand in a shark cage and even pet some star fish and coral.

After that we walked around and visited all the stations of lights.
Then we grabbed some hot chocolate and headed to the rink to do some ice skating. After about 2 hours of skating on slush we went back for some more hot chocolate and grabbed a bag of kettle corn that we ate sitting around a huge bonfire. A lot of fun.

That night we stayed at a Jeff's beach house for the night because it was too late to drive home. We woke up early the next morning and mom made us breakfast. Jeff and I walked on the beach looking for shells while mom took a shower and got dressed. We just hung out for the rest day watching movies and playing games because it was mom's day off.
I love going to the beach house. I am such a waterbaby. Mom says that's a good thing. :)

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
The other day I asked mom if she knew how to cook a turkey with legs. She said yes, why? I said that I wanted to stay home and not take road trip and make a turkey dinner. Well the day didn't go as I had planned. I was suppose to wake up early and help my mom get the turkey ready and start making the pies and other stuff. Well I slept till noon, only because I stayed up late lastnight watching TV while mom made coleslaw. By the time I got up I had enough time to season the 12 pound bird before mom put it in the cooker. I did help with the marshmellows, I ate all the ones that wouldn't fit on the yams :)
We also burned some leaves in the yard, which was kind of cool until I got smoke in my eyes and it started to burn.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgving and enjoyed time with their family and friends.

Civil War Weekend at the Liendo Plantation

Today mom closed the store and we headed to Hempsted to visit the Liendo Plantation for a Civil War Reenactment.
I had so much fun today that I am planning on joining the 11th Texas Cavalry. After watching the last half of the battle, mom and I shopped. We got ol fashion rootbeer, a wooden riffle, lunch and some things for my camping box. Got to see a felt hat being made, helped a man build a fire the old fashion way, talked to people and found out what they did during the civil war. These people just played parts, they are not original people from the civil war.

I filled out an application and sent it off, so I will keep you posted about what I will be doing in the future with the group. I am also on the hunt for equipment and clothes. I have my own horse, so that is good.

Mexico Cruise 2009

Mom & I took a cruise out of Galveston, Tx to Mexico. We were gone for five fun filled days. There are not too many pictures because mom forgot to bring the charger for the camera. But I can tell you that we had a total blast. We left on Monday, Nov. th and came back on Saturday, Nov. 14th.

On monday night I got a bit sea sick, so mom made me take a pill to help me not throw up. It didn't work, I puked twice. Once was all over the desk and floor in our cabin. The other I was able to make it to the bathroom, but that was all over the wall and floor. Not a good thing.
The next day we were at sea. I got to swim in the pool, relax in the hot tub and go down the waterslides all day long. We also played bingo.

Our first port was Progreso, Yocatan. We got to go on a tour of the Dzibilchaltun Ruins, Temple of the Dolls and the Franciscan Church which the spanish built. We also got to swim in a huge sink hole called the Cenote Xlakah. That was real cool. When I'm older I can come back and scuba dive in the caverns that spread out from the Cenote.

The next day we went to Cozumel. Mom & I were suppose to swim with the sting rays, but the water was too choppy so we went to a real nice beach. We got to have real mexican food for lunch which was good. I got to swim and mom took me out the a reef so that I could snorkle. I ment a boy from New York and we played and swam a little bit. I don't think he knew how to swim.

We ate in the formal dining room and everynight I got to get up and dance with the staff. That was so much fun. Every morning I would have eggs and baccon and sausage and apple juice. I would rather have pineapple juice, but they didn't have any so I just ate pineapples.

Mom dropped me off at the Carnival Kids Club so she could go and do some stuff, but we mostly hung out by the pool.

When we were in the ports we did alot of shopping too.

here are some pictures.

Trick-or-Treat on Halloween

This year I was Batman for Halloween. As always, I asked Grandma for a costume and she delivered a great one as usual. Mom got a Batman pail for my candy. So I matched from head to toe this year. Way to go guys!!!

I was suppose to go with Ashton, but I got in trouble at Raien's birthday party, so Ashley drove me home. So, just like last year we went and visited friends.
We first went to Wendy & Eddies house, then to Marks and then to my yearly haunt at Selena & Mike's. I had fun at W&E's house playing with other kids. And mom did let Eddie take me to a few houses to Trick-or-Treat.

Needless to say, the night was a huge success. I came home with a ton of candy.

A Night in The Forest @ WG Jones State Forest

Even though today is my birthday, I didn't want to do much because I had a huge birthday party at the Aquarium and then I'm going on a cruise.

So tonight we kicked back and went to dinner and then to Jones Forest for "A Night in the Forest" sponsored by the Friends of Texas Wildlife. There was a hay ride thru the forest, games, crafts, food and a whole bunch of fun.

I went in costume to give my batman costume a go before the big day (Halloween). I wanted to makes sure that everything would work good, the cape, belt, shoes and mask. Everything was great and I will look awsome on Halloween!!!

I am the youngest in my group class. There is a girl in there that is also young, she is 8. But everyone else is older like 13 and stuff.

I learned the cha cha step today.

My Birthday Party

Had my birthday party at the Downtown Aquarium today. It was super cool. Got to have all my friends around and do real cool stuff. Check out the pictures here!

After dinner and playing upstairs in resturant we got to go ride the rides. We took the train into the shark tank which was pretty cool. After the rides we went into the adventure exhibit were we got to see a bunch of different fish and water life. We even got to pet stingrays and sharks in a tank. Then we got to see the two white tigers. They were huge!

I had a great time and I hope everyone else did too.

Zero Rule

I've learned the zero rule for addition in math and I pretty much have it down by the second lesson.

I have been doing a lot of home work for the last month. I go to Kumon for reading and math on Monday and Thursday and have Kumon work that needs to be done every day. But now I have started being home schooled, so I have started doing other things as well.

Here are some subjects I'm learning:
  • Reading, every day and Kumon on Monday and Thursday
  • Math, every day and Kumon on Monday and Thursday
  • History, civil war is the subject now because we are going to go to a reenactment on Friday, November 20th, so mom wants me to have a good idea of what will be going on and why
  • Health, I'm taking classes at the Health Museum on Wednesdays.
  • Dance class is on Monday

The big news is that I am going to try out for a part in a major play, I will keep you posted on how things go with that.

USS Texas BB-35

Today mom took me on a suprise trip, she wouldn't tell me where she was taking me, she just said I would really like it.
We got to tour the USS Texas, which is a battleship. Did you know that the USS Texas Battleship is the last and oldest Battleship afloat that served in both WWI and WWII. The ship is almost 100 years old? Did you know that even thou it is in water it is really sitting on a cement base? There is so much to learn about the ship.
When I get a little bit older I am going to go on the Hard Hat Tour. I might even have my birthday sleep over there next year. I don't know, it's pretty cool.

Texas Prison Museum

Today we went to visit the Texas Prison Museum. I got to go into a cell and see what it was like and there is no way I would like to live in there. It is really small and the sink and tolet are together. There is not TV, or computer or toys or books or anything.

I also got to see Ol Smokey, which is an real electric chair. It was just like the one in the Green Mile movie.
